Friday Focuses on Design at Red Dot

 In Show Recap

Thursday at Red Dot Miami was a great second day, with plenty of Meet the Artist sessions and an inspiring talk by Linda VarnHagen-Phelps, an artist and professor at Miami International University of Art & Design, on “Environment and Landscape in Contemporary Art.” Today is Design Friday, with a special focus on design and two engaging Art Talks by Robin Hodes, editor of Florida Design Magazine. Make sure to catch these informative talks—”Defining Your Collection” at 1:00 p.m. and “Designing a Home for Art Collectors” at 3:00 p.m.—then implement your new knowledge when you select pieces to purchase at the show for your home collection.

Other must-see highlights at Red Dot are the show’s Art Labs, including the South African Art Collective, pARTicipate with Life Is Art, and “Searching for Perfection,” a light sculpture at the entrance by Adrian Sierra Garcia. And there are several Meet the Artist sessions slated for this afternoon and evening—check out the full schedule for all the deets!
