Red Dot Miami 2017 Opening Night Recap
What a night! We officially launched Red Dot Miami with our Opening Night Preview Party yesterday evening, welcoming the international art world to Miami Art Week.
Attendees were greeted by James West’s monumental, contemporary outdoor sculpture, a deconstructed garden suspended in air by Noor Blazecovik from Irreversible Projects, and the mellow sounds of New York’s amazing vocalist and musician Juliet Garrett. They sipped on wine and snacked on canapés as they wandered through aisles of whimsical sculpture work, contemporary paintings, landscape photography, and colorfully crafted glassworks—and already we’ve seen so many artworks find new homes.
Art lovers were blown away by work of our Spotlight Galleries as well as exhibitors who brought world-class art, some of which had never been out of personal collections. If you didn’t make it down, don’t worry! With over 100 galleries and thousands of works, there’s still plenty of time to get your hands on that perfect piece.
There are plenty of other exciting events coming up today through Sunday, including live art demos, Art Talks, and Meet the Artist sessions. Check out the full show schedule to see all the details.
We’ll keep you posted every day on the latest happenings at the show. Make sure to follow Red Dot Miami on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the latest news and pics. We hope to see you there this weekend! Grab your tickets, which also grant you access to Spectrum Miami next door, if you haven’t already!
