Putting the Art in Party at Red Dot Day Three
Friday at Red Dot Miami 2017 was full of festivities. Venezuelan artist Hugo Diaz kicked things off with a Meet the Artist event where he talked about how his degree in computer engineering influences his art. A highlight of the Meet the Artist events was Daniel Winn, the curator behind Winn Slavin Fine Art and Masterpiece Publishing who has just recently re-emerged into the art world as a successful painter and sculptor. We are lucky to be at the forefront of the return of an amazing artist!
Things really started to heat up with the kick off of Art After Dark, an evening of full of red carpet arrivals, champagne and hors d’ouevres, live music and painting demonstrations by renowned artists, and more sponsored by Louis Jadot Wine and Fortune International Realty. At Art Loves Fashion, curated by Celia Evans of Planet Fashion TV, models posed as live mannequins, dressed in gorgeous global fashions. Attendees, including many Canvas Condos community members, were able to get up close and personal to see the latest and most cutting-edge works of art as fashion.
Over in the Spectrum Miami Tent, attendees were celebrating the fifth anniversary of ArtSpot Miami. A high-end standalone event inside Spectrum Miami, ArtSpot specializes in modern and contemporary art with an emphasis on international and Latin American artists. In addition to the party, showgoers enjoyed “Made in the USA,” a limited series that represents a diverse cultural group of artists depicting what that phrase means to them through their works. A highlight of the series was Homage to Jasper Johns, a silkscreen by Emiliano Gironella Parra, which is included in the book 1001 Paintings You Must See Before You Die by Stephen Farthing.
Coming up today are more Meet the Artist events. Check the full schedule to see who’s participating when.
